Scene 1
[Scene starts with darkness. Credits start flashing while voices are heard.]
Camera then pans sideward, slowly revealing a room with people standing and focused on either the whiteboard or a metal box filled with sheets of papers.
Erin Kouyuu (reading sheets one by one): Number 024. President: Yukari, Pub: Jon, Pri: Rami, Mon: Kuro, Esec: Mira, CT: Tori, DPT: San, Logi: Rino, Scho: Jay.
[He repeats this several times after reading a new sheet. Occasionally, instead of Jon, Rami, Kuro, San and Jay, he would say Jinsu, Aina, Raiza, Rui and Makiru. Another person makes a mark beside their corresponding name after they have been mentioned. After the credits roll, Erin reaches his last ballot and looks disappointed.]
Erin Kouyuu: (holds out paper to everyone) Okay, who’s the wise guy who placed ‘Me’ in all positions?! The nerve. VOID! (pause) Okay. That’s it everyone. And here are your winners.
[Camera shifts to a crowd of students starting to gather around the board and causing a commotion. On the other side of the room, an older Mira (longer and wavier hair compared to her younger version) stands by, looking anxious as well. Makiru emerges from the crowd and approaches her. He smiles yet shakes his head in dismay. He mouths to her congratulations before walking out of the room. Mira looks at him before sighing and heading towards the board to check the results.]
Scene 2
Camera pans from outside the windows, showing a larger and brighter classroom. It’s crowded and several people are already standing. Yukari Kagami and Rami Hitode are doing a presentation for the crowd, and the scene starts by describing the work of the executive POTATO.
Yukari Kagami: (projector shows Mira’s photo) Oh. So here we have the Executive POTATO or the Esec. (she pauses while some people repeat the term to themselves) It’s an old joke that the Esec is just a fancy term for the president’s assistant. (Members snicker. Yukari pauses and sternly looks at them). Well, if you look it that way, I guess it’s true. The Esec’s main function is to keep me and the entire organization updated in everything and anything related to Disjoncteur.
Camera scans sideward, showing the seated audience listening attentively. Some are taking down notes while she continues speaking.
Yukari Kagami: She often holds meetings with the committee’s POTATOs and sometimes, other members to collect information and afterwards post these and several memos and announcements online and in the lounge. She then reports this information directly to me, the president. We then both relay this to our faculty advisers and the college’s director for student affairs.
Camera then shifts to the members seated on the podium. Some are looking at Yukari and nodding in agreement. Camera then faces her.
Yukari Kagami: Also, she is in charge of sending out letters within or outside the university and handling almost all the paper work. Well, I can’t think of anything else to add: her work is considered a dirty inside job (causes a mild laughter from audience).
Camera starts zooming outside the room, moving to several floors above and several rooms across.
Yukari Kagami: Asides from the president, the Esec doesn’t have a designated committee and may come from all committees. Well, usually the Esec happens to be one of the previous committee’s POTATO or those who frequently attend the apprentice meeting, or the term we use to refer to the meetings that the Esec holds. Well in our current Esec’s case, she was a POTATO of the DPT during her second year, then became the Pub POTATO during her third year and finally became my POTATO when I was Scho head just last year. Let’s just say that her next role was an obvious hunch.
Camera finally stops in a room filled with several computer workstations and electronic equipment.
